柠檬课堂之Steam课程

——丹小一(4)班学习制作天平秤

    武术操后,孩子们略显疲惫地回到教室,一见到陌生的老师、新奇的学具,又重新焕发出无限活力!

    “老师,今天上什么课呀?”

    “老师,你姓什么呀?”

    “桌子上的这些工具可以做什么呢?”

    ……

    一系列的问题充斥在柠檬班每个孩子的脑海里,带着疑惑、欣喜与激动,开启了今天的steam课程之制作天平秤。

    首先,一个可爱的跷跷板映入孩子的眼帘,在这跷跷板上发生着有趣的事情:平行的跷跷板两端坐着两只可爱的小怪物——小小鸟和大嘴虫,光头强和熊大见状,也起了童心要玩跷跷板,可他俩一坐上去,跷跷板立马向熊大一测倾斜,任凭光头强如何使劲,跷跷板纹丝不动,可当他们从板上跳下来时,跷跷板又恢复了平衡。这时,他俩肚子都饿了,树上有三个苹果,一个大,两个小,怎么把苹果平均分给熊大和光头强呢?孩子们开动脑筋,自牧说:“一人一个小苹果,剩下一个大苹果用手掰断。”叶婧说:“用刀沿着苹果的中间线切入,一定要找准中间那条线。”老师反问:“你们能确保切下来的苹果是正好对半的吗?”孩子们摇摇头,随即,老师引出了“天平秤”,用天平秤来解决熊大和光头强的分苹果问题。

  由孩子们喜爱的动画人物入手,创设了童趣的学习情境;从跷跷板到天平秤,过渡自然;在帮助他人解决问题中引出新知,唤起学生的英雄主义、激发孩子的学习兴趣。

    紧接着,同学们迎来了本堂课的重要学习任务——制作天平秤。制作之前,老师做了很好的示范引领:一是介绍天平的组成以及组装所需的零件,有托盘、平衡木、支架、底座、螺丝、螺帽、铆钉扣,老师还特别邀请施自牧同学上台演示螺帽和螺母的正确用法,提醒大家不能套歪了;二是亲自示范组装,明确组装三步骤,连接托盘与平衡木、连接支架与底座、连接平衡木与支架。孩子们瞪大眼睛看着老师的操作,有的不禁站起来想看个究竟,生怕错过什么细节。

    老师结束演示后,小柠檬们终于可以“大展身手”了!组装场面好不热闹,同桌两人合作搭建天平秤,你来拼装,我来拧螺丝……各个就像小小工程师。没一会儿,一架架天平秤就组装完成了,一些孩子跃跃欲试,将橡皮擦、铅笔放在天平称上,比比大小。

   这不仅是一个动手、动脑的活动,还需要孩子们“动 口”哦!老师请两组同桌交流自己在制作过程中的“小心得”,谈谈自己是如何让天平秤保持平衡的。四位从细节入手回答,给一些制作失败的同学指点了迷津。

    课的尾声,老师抛出了一个话题:“50克的棉花糖和50克的棒棒糖,天平秤会往哪边倾斜呢?”好多孩子回答会往棒棒糖一侧倾斜,在铃声敲响的一刻,一位说出了正确答案:“天平会保持平衡,因为50克的棉花糖和50克的棒棒糖重量相等呀!”老师告诉孩子们,要保持一种求真的态度,不能“以貌取人”哦!
