LEGO Themed Morning Tea
The Most Child-friendly Morning Tea
Langham Hotel, Shenzhen Collaborates with LOGO Education to Redefine the Time for Parents and Children
The Langham, Shenzhen collaborates with “LEGO Education” to launch “LEGO Themed Morning Tea” on the last Saturday of each month, integrating “LEGO Classroom” into Western-style morning tea. Children can bring their imagination and creativity into full play in the “classroom”. Meanwhile, they can meet and make new friends, and share joyful parent-child time with their parents during morning tea.
Francesco Mannino, the Executive Chef of Pastry, leads the pastry kitchen team to create LEGO themed western-style morning tea. From colour and shape to decoration, the various LEGO elements are naturally integrated into the four western desserts. The other five savoury snacks are also creative. The lollipop sandwich with smoked salmon & ham uses the lollipop shape that children love and becomes the highlight on the table; while the yellow peach prawn guacamole on French bread is a variety of fruit combinations in avocado and bread slices, providing a new healthy choice for children. A further option is the chef sandwich featuring the Cajun chicken salad in the classic macaron. In addition to the tea for two adults, each child can also enjoy the Valrhona hot chocolate with marshmallows presented in the LEGO Cup.
After morning tea, staff will escort the children to the LEGO site in the hotel. In this independent space, children can concentrate on creative LEGO toy building under the professional guidance of the teachers from LEGO Education Centre. The “buildings” of different shapes and unique styles are quietly presented to the children in the course of nearly an hour of play. In the interactive session, the children will invite parents to participate in the final creative construction. With the same toy package, different families will display a range of results. “Giving an independent space for thinking and not pursuing unity is the first lesson LEGO wants to pass on to children,” said the teacher at the LEGO Education Centre. Finally, parents and children with their LEGO works will have a group photo taken.
In an independent space dedicated to children, the children's imagination and creativity are fully demonstrated in an entertaining atmosphere, and parents learn more about the child's ability to figure things out and employ more creative potential through assisted participation.
Through intricate iron gates, guests enter the renowned Palm Court, an enchanting lounge filled with stately furnishings, plush fabrics, and charming Art Deco-inspired flourishes. Coupled with the aroma of steeped tea leaves intermingled with the enticing scents of freshly made delicacies, the lounge sets a perfectly elegant scene to linger with families.
