老祖宗流传下来的君子六艺:礼、乐、射、御、书、数,如果放到大时空的尺度上看,千年以后,子孙后代回望今天,编程一定像是曾经的君子六艺一样,成为人类的标配。在翁恺的眼里,编程是一种孩子们表达内心的方式:“编程是一种创作工具,通过编程这种手段,孩子可以去制作出一些东西来,这些东西不仅仅是他探索的过程,他实验的过程,也是他创作的过程,是对他创造力的培养。”
The Six Arts are passed down from our ancestors, comprising 6 disciplines of rites, music, archery, charioteering, literacy, and mathematics. If we put programming on the timescale, it should be as common as the Six Arts after thousand years to our descendant. Weng Kai sees programming as a way for children to express their inner world. He said: “Programming is a creative tool, through which children can create something new. That does not only bring the process of exploring, experimenting and creating, but also cultivate their creativity.”
也许更重要的是,我们的社会在不可避免地走向智能社会,我们周围将拥有比今天更多的智能设备,也有更多的技术,“如果要让孩子们能够对将来的生活有所准备,就应该让他们学一点技术,学一点工程。”
More importantly, we are unavoidably becoming a smart society that we will have more smart devices and technologies than ever, “if we want our children to be well-equipped for the future, we should teach them some knowledge about technology and engineering.
现今社会上学习编程的成年人是想找份更好的⼯工作,在学校里, 学习计算机编程的门槛颇⾼。似乎只有文化课异常优异的学⽣才有资格接受编程教育。因此,普遍大众认为计算机编程教育是精英教育,这样的偏见打消了许多人学习编程的积极性。当我们还在边苦恼计算机人才的短缺,边犹豫怎样挑选适合的人才接受计算机教育的时候,海那边的⽇本却即将把编程作为基础教育纳⼊小学课程了。
Nowadays, in the consideration of hunting a better job, adults choose to study programming, especially at school, only when you are among the top of good students that you are qualified to learn such subject. Hence, most of us think programming education is for elite, and such prejudice has dispelled the enthusiasm of many people to learn programming.While we are still concerning the shortage of computer talents and hesitating to choose the right candidate to receive computer education, our neighbor country-- Japan has adopt programming as a basic education to the primary school curriculum.
